i made a video of me painting the peppermint painting. i just discovered windows movie maker on my computer so expect some more videos soon. i'll try to make the next one more exciting. in this video i'm basically just painting in detail colors so it's kinda boring, but still cool that i can share with people!

a cotton flower.-made from cotton pads and white thread. this is what happens when i stay up until 2am trying to get inspired. i'm sure it's obvious what this is related to.

last week a friend and i took a little trip to kentucky to see another friend's art opening (jodi reeves). on the way we took a detour to rescue plants. well, ok that wasn't the intent but this is now how my story goes. we brought home some succulents in need of tlc. these little sweet botanical creatures are living on my kitchen windowsill now along with a few other lovely specimens i found in the backyard. (more rescues!) i love to look at these while i stand at the sink.
