i LOVE new sketchbooks! (especially spiral bound)

my first sketch in this book is for a found object piece for the DIG show, which you can see to the right. it will incorporate a milkweed pod i found in east nashville and some castor bean seeds i got from andee in kentucky. parts of both of these plants have some use related to pregnancy and contraception, so i want to also add drawings to the assemblage of the female parts of these plants as well as a human embryo. we'll see how this goes.


here is an update on the peppermint painting. it's actually farther along than this now but i don't have a photo.
