update on the pieces for the sugar and spice show. i'm using vintage wallpaper images as inspiration for the patterns within the wings. time consuming, but i like it!

It's official! And we are proud to announce:

The Revolution of Craft will be held March 3rd, 2007 at The Cannery Ballroom in Nashville!

We are now taking applications for vendors which can be found on The Revolution of Craft site (http://nashvillecraftmafia.com/revolution). We are accepting applications by mail, postmarked no later than January 5th. The vendors for the 50 available spots will be announced within 1 week of the submission deadline.

Booth Fee is $50, this is the cost for the booth space only, you must provide your own tables. For official NCM Members who have paid your dues the booth fee will be a discounted $35.

We will have our sponsorship information up next week and if you know of anyone who would like to sponsor our event, please let us know so we can contact them. We will have several levels of sponsorship so we should have something to suit everyone's needs.

affordable art

finishing up some new work for the twist show "sugar and spice".
these pieces are 5x7 inches on canvas. they will have frame boxes when finished with a depth of 3 inches.

first layers of color: (check out my new paintbrush holder-an old wig stand w/ face i got at the flea market for a dollar-yay!)

more color added; natural colors to balance the pastels. (i love burnt sienna!):

a clean studio...

gasp!

finally cleaned the studio. still a little more to do after i buy some more storage boxes.
before cleaning, my stuff was spread out all over the room. it was hideous. no, i don't have any 'before' pictures...far too embarrassing. now all my crap is confined to about 1/3 of the room. how i managed this, i don't know.
i have 2 main work areas (tables). one for painting, one for jewelry making. in the middle i have plastic carts filled with the most commonly used supplies. these carts are lame. as i was moving them around the wheels bent the plastic and now the wheels are pretty much unusable. but, they keep things organized for me so i can't complain.
